Past life regression - conclusions?

The research I have done suggests that PLR is the subconscious mind creating stuff out of being in a trance state and let free to run amok. One could use the images as an artist to paint new and interesting paintings; one could equate it to drug taking. Basically there is no proof, and it's your mind making it up.

Memory is an area which science still does not wholly understand, even the past life memories which Dr Stevenson found can not be accounted for by normal scientific reasoning. When we observe something happening, we hold the memory of the event from our point of view in the hippocampus. Whilst we're asleep this moves the memory to other parts of the cortex as long term. When we remember an event years later, we build upon the memory from things that happen later, by associations, so that's why you can put 10 people in a room who had witnessed something and every statement will vary to some degree.

One last thing and that is this. PLF takes the responsibility out of the here and now. Blaming your bad back on being stabbed through the heart for being bad in a previous life if you believe by doing something that will take the pain away and it does - well that's placebo. Take responsibility for your life and deal with problems effectively, calmly and learn to cope with these situations when they may occur in the future.
