If you mention meditation to some people, they will think of orange robes, chanting and ringing bells.
This can make them feel uncomfortable about trying it out, because it's so different to what they experience in their every day life.
I teach and practice a number of different meditation techniques, each one helpful in different ways.
Guided Meditation in Oxfordshire
Guided meditation allows one to be guided through a series of visualisations, usually this may involve imagining being on a beach or in a garden. It can be used to connect with the creative part of our brain, the part that comes up with ideas, inspiration for art, writing, music and dance. Others can use it to develop their spiritual path. Many describe meeting their guardian angel, personal guide or their inner voice. Allowing us to feel more fulfilled in our everyday life.

Mindfulness is all about increasing your awareness. it's been shown to be highly effective for depression, as it allows the person to start connecting with the outside world again. It helps over ride the anxiety. It can help overcome pain. There are many forms of mindful meditation, from walking meditation to washing up! Eating mindfully is encouraged in eating disorders and weight loss.
